grate the cheese….
You might be able to use a blender, but you may have to stop the blender and scrape the sides many times to make sure everything gets down to the blade. Food processors often have broad, flat bottoms, which allows food easier access to the blade. It might work, though. Give it a shot.
It might on low speed, but you can mold a cheese ball by hand.
I would go with a big spoon or potato masher and just mash all the cheeses together real good. The blender will just clog up.
cheese is too think for the blender, try to find a used food processor- check yard sales, salvation army thrift stores and other places to find a used one. I was given a food processor and I’ve never used it. I don’t like to use them.
Buy Kaukauna cheese-made for making a cheese ball, all you need is a 8 oz package of Philadelphia cream cheese
you can use a cheese grinder, cuisinart, or blender. the blenser just has a smaller base than a normal food processor. if you just push the cheese down from time tp time it should work just the same
good luck with your cheese balls!
You dnt neccessarily need a food processor you can use jst a normal wooden spoon or a spatula jst press hard enough
I use an electric hand mixer. Ya know the one with two beaters on it. It cost about 15-20 bucks and at walmart they have one that’s $10.
I make cheese balls for work/parties all the time. If you’d like the recipe let me know.
Hope this helps! Good luck!
You don’t need a blender…just a good arm. The best cheeseball is rather easy to make actually. Take 2 packets of cream cheese and put them in a bowl. Chop a packet of dried apricots small and add them to the cheese. Season with a LITTLE salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice (optional). Take a packet of slivered or sliced almonds and put them on a plate. Combine the cheese mixture by mixing it with a spoon and form into a ball and then roll it in the almonds. Put it in the fridge for an hour or so and there you go, people will go nuts over it.
Cheese balls and facsimiles there of, have been around for many years, long before processing machines were even thought of, so do as your great granny did, combine all in a large bowl and use your muscles, keep smashing the cheeses together until sweat runs from your forehead and you’ve arrived at the desired texture…:) and believe me, you can skip your work out for day after doing so;) LOL
Use God’s blender….fingers…!!!
There is no need for a food processor. Just make sure your cream cheese is soft, your other cheeses are grated, and any other ingredients are chopped fine. Then mix by hand. Form the ball, roll in whatever you want, wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate until firm. Easy peasy. I’ve never used a food processor to make a cheese ball.
Blender will work it will just take more time.
when i make my cheese ball i use a microwave, a grater adn a bowl.
i chunk my cream cheese into the bowl and heat it til just soft enough to work with (30 seconds) and grate my other cheeses and chop up olives and stuff. when you blend it all together you can do it by hand or with a hand mixer and it turns out great.
No, a blender won’t work. The blade is totally different from that of a food processor, the container is too narrow, and everything will get gunked at the bottom and not mix well (esp. if there’s cream cheese in your recipe).
If I were you, I’d use a wooden spoon and plenty of elbow grease.
Either grate the cheese or get a small (hand or electric) chopper. You can get a decent electric Hamilton Beach chopper with a 3 cup capacity (It’s pretty much just a miniature food processor) for under $30.00.
you can mix it with a spoon and shape it with your hands…..let the cream cheese soften….mix everything….take out saran wrap and dump it in the middle and wrap it up then shape with your hands…..refrigerate to get harder
